Entangled Life: How Fungi Make Our Worlds, Change Our Minds & Shape Our Futures by Merlin Sheldrake

challenging informative medium-paced

5.0

We’ve been trying very hard to figure out if he was given that name at birth (in which case, that’s basically a geas and he has no responsibility for the course of his life) or if he chose it later (in which case, ASTONISHINGLY valid).
Anyway: Did you want to learn about fungi? Of course you did. Did you want to go insane about how much we know we don’t know about fungi?? Absolutely. This is the book for you. (This is also the book where he fed his first copy to fungi and then ate the fungi so like. Please know what you are getting into here.)
The book is well researched and impeccably cited, and my only quibble is that sometimes sections feel like a string of factoids without any real organization or theme. However: That’s totally petty and does not detract from the book.
