Campfire by Shawn Sarles

I grabbed this book today because I felt like reading something kinda cliche and fun, reminiscent of an old school slasher. And this was absolutely that, except not as memorable.

The story was predictable and a bit….superfluous really? It felt very much like I could tick my fingers off with each passing dropping corpse. Thankfully each of the characters were wholly unlikeable and wooden so I wasn’t broken hearted at their demises.

All in all—good book to break my slump because now I’m desperate to read something better!
