"It roars and roars and when we’re both long gone from this world, it will ripple with whispers until the end of time."
Woooo, lord. Ima be honest, I fell off once or twice. When it was high it was HIIIIGH and when it was low? You ever watch those horror movies where it's not sure how to get you from one scene to the next and the current scene is so slow you get bored and the next is like a slap in the face of wake the hell up? Thats how this book played out. The calm "whispers" were just so slow and calm that I'd zone out and then something and I'd have to almost double take the scene. Even the lows were enjoyable though. Yes I zoned but it was a good break. I still got all the pieces that needed to be grabbed.
If you're wondering why I haven't summarized this book it's because just like K. Webster has stated. The book is best just diving in. Dont read any in depth reviews, or summaries just go into it. Makes it much more enjoyable going in blind. I will say the book is very dark and deals with all kinds of real life horrors. The book was amazing though even with it's lows. They were timed right and broke tensions. It really was a good read and very quick.
Pɪᴄᴋ ᴛʜɪs ᴜᴘ ɪғ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴋᴇ: House on Needless Street, The Unrequited, Friends with Monsters, You Should Have Told Me
𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: All the abuses. (Child, verbal, physical, animal ect...) All of them. Sexual Assault. Violence.
