The Breakup Lists

pros:
it was a fun and silly and unserious read to start off pride month. it was also healing to read a cute little lgbt story where the crux wasn’t on how hard it was being gay. i loved that it was theater kids and brought me back to my missed theater days.
cons:
it felt a little tropey. some of the characters felt flat. i think there were some things the family did that were inexcusable: ie not learning asl for their deaf son. at some point the “somethingsomething” became cumbersome along with the strikes in writing. i also resent the sister and felt like she harmed way more than was necessary.
