Une vie by Simone Veil
4.0

A stunning account of Simone Veil's life story.
I particularly enjoyed the first sections about her life as a child and then a teenager in the camps, it was absolutely heartbreaking.
Simone Veil was such an unbeliveably strong woman, with an unwavering sense of morals.
I did feel like she wasn't saying much about her own feelings regarding the events of her life, but I assume it's because she couldn't afford to show weakness, or she just didn't want to display private moments of her life to the public.
In any case, I think we owe her a great debt for her political work and I feel very lucky that she managed to achieve all she did for women in France.
