Listen. After the first two books, I wasn’t a fan of Jeremiah–Presley clearly deserves so much better. Then literally on page one, he just forgets their wedding?! What a jerk. Presley has been through so much, and has created a life and a family she loves in Clifton Forge. Then movie star Shaw Valance comes to town to film a movie. He’s immediately drawn to Presley–who wouldn’t be? She doesn’t fall at his feet the way anyone else would. There’s so much more to both Shaw and Presley’s pasts that we learn about throughout the book. Ugh and stupid Jeremiah. Can you tell he bothers me whenever he’s brought up? I didn’t see so many of the twists coming at the end, and I’m completely obsessed with all things Clifton Forge right now!!
