SPOILERS. wow. wow. wow. i have a good amount to say about this book. THERE ARE SPOILERS
*this was the first book i read this year and i loved it*

~i loved the narrators (skeeter, minny, aibleen) and how they all had something special about them for when it was their turn to narrate. Skeeter's inner banter was so funny, and i teared up some during aibleen's chapters.
~the conflict and the complicated-ness of all the relationships in Jacksonville was really well thought out
~it was emotionally provoking. i laughed, i teared up, i was shocked and so upset at the miscarriage part (even though i had watched the movie and knew about it), it was so well written!
~lovable characters! not all of them, obviously (ahem, hilly), but yeah!
~I HATE HILLY AHHHHH. all of the women and mens lives revolve around her and how she can say this and she can say that and she has everyone in the palm of her hand and personally i think she's a controlling crazy jerk who i absolutely despise
~the fact that i finished a 500 page book in like 4 days shocks me
~the amount of times i smiled or opened my mouth in shock is crazyyy
~THE ENDING. ill leave it at that. THE ENDINGGGG...

ok other than all that, i feel like a small part of the end dragged on, but then it picked up for a great finale, so that's that.
also, i'm so conflicted about her mom. she kind of slayed a few times but also was annoying to skeeter so yeah.

overall, such a journey and i so recommend!!
