This was a great graphic novel that helped me see what it might be like to be at summer camp as a kid who didn't always fit in. I also liked the Russian culture that woven throughout the story. While there are some things that she eventually enjoyed about the camp, I also identified with some of the not-so-great things about summer camp. This was recommended to me by my student and I think many middle school kids would enjoy it.
