I really enjoyed this, I did but this reminds me why I really don’t read friends to lovers. Absolutely can’t stand when they have their inner monologue and it’s full of ‘how much they love their best friend but knows he doesn’t feel the same way’ so they just settle for anything he’ll give 😑

I need Sydney to stop crying so much and get a little bit of self respect 😒 I get that Kyler was single and he’s allowed to do whatever he wants but that doesn’t mean you should just suffer in silence. Also I feel like she let Kyler in too easily, he would’ve had to work for it had it been me.

Kyler was so irritating with how he couldn’t keep it in his pants. He knew deep down that Sydney had feelings for him because once she confessed her feelings, he literally put it all together 🙄 Make it make sense.

Also I just get the ick when I’m reading a book and he’s a former player and he says to the FMC ‘No matter how many girls I’ve been with, I’ve always been yours’ 🤮 I absolutely hate when they say that because it’s not romantic at all. I don’t need a reference to your body count when you’re declaring your love for me. Please for the love of God stop putting that line in books.

I do think if the book was a little bit longer, Sydney & Kyler story could’ve developed better and I would’ve had less complaints.

Other than those frustrating qualities from this book, I did still manage to enjoy it. Even though they did irritate me, I liked that they managed to work through their issues and I did like the build up to their relationship. I also love the cozy and christmas vibes! Perfect for the holidays!
