Wow. This book was so well written.  So intricately detailed to have you fully immersed in the world. I don’t really understand why some people didn’t like this book. Robert Jordan wrote this to make SURE you felt like you were reading LOTR. That nostalgia itself was indeed nailed. He did exactly what he intended. But with saying that it’s 100% it’s own story as well. I love the concept of the Wheel turning and the Pattern weaving the Web.
The characters were fantastic, I loved the authenticity of them not believing in what was happening around them, then being skeptical, then believing, then fully eager to become who they’re meant to be. So much room for character development with 14 books left.
I really enjoyed Perrin and Moiraine, they’re currently my favorite characters, but we will see if they’ll stay as my favorite characters. Loved the Aes Sedai, really cool concept of women using the One Power, but not going mad by it. Only men go mad, loved that. Such strong female characters in this series so far and I support that 100% obviously.
The Ways were awesome to read about, reminded me of the Labyrinth. I loved all the lore and learning about how things work in the Wheel of Time world. Even gave me thoughts that J.K. Rowling must’ve read this book to get ideas for the Harry Potter series. The Eye of The World is now one of my favorite fantasy books.
