An interesting premise but it was tough to get through and frankly I wish I gave up on it. Plot was predictable, a lot of info dumping, characters were one dimensional, and much of the dialogue was clunky or unnatural. It reads like a book for younger teens but there are some more graphic and triggering subjects in here so I’m not quite sure who the intended audience was?
Graphic: Misogyny, Sexual assault, Slavery, Violence, Blood, Medical trauma, Injury/Injury detail, Classism
Moderate: Confinement, Death, Torture, Violence, Medical content, Cannibalism, Medical trauma, War, Injury/Injury detail
