I found this book to be emotional and inspiring. I really felt that I got to know April and grow with her. She was a likable and smart main character. Most of the characters were lovable, except for a few. The author did a good job with characterization, but the plot and emotions could have used more details. This book made me take on a new perspective on life and people it shows how we become pieces of everyone in our lives, and how we keep the best ones in our pockets it shows how a painful past has no excuse to be a bad person or Home or others. I feel like April was a realistic character, and the overall book was realistic . April and I would definitely be besties!

I would re-read this book if I needed a reminder, that life is a journey and you always have people to help and teach lessons.
