It's really hard to grade or review an anthology. I like one of the stories a lot and the others kinda. The overall theme of this one seemed to be the primal instinct of the Alpha male characters to protect their women (mates in some cases). However, not every story ended with the guy definitely getting the girl. I'm okay with Happy For Now endings if the story and/or writing is good enough to carry me on to the next book in the series. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. The writing was weak and I don't have that inherent drive to know what happens that sparks my shopping spree with some series. The one story I really liked was actually pretty confusing at first and I got the sense that the author expected everyone who picked up this book to already be familiar with her series. I'm not but if I come across her work again I might be curious enough to buy it.
