Home Is Where You Are by Melissa Grace

3.0

Quick Synopsis: Liv is a successful bakery owner in Nashville, nearing 40 and recently divorced. To cheer her up post-divorce and get her out of the house, her friend brings her to a concert of a popular band. During their meet and greet, lead singer Jax takes a liking to Liv and so begins their love story!

The first half of the book was a HIT, I felt like I was reliving my teenage dreams of having one of the Jonas Brothers notice and fall in love with me at a concert (I was torn between Nick and Joe, sorry Kev).

I love a dual narration, so following Liv and Jax’s story through both of their eyes was fun! I will say, their romance did move a bit fast for me, to a point where it was a lot of ups and downs in a quick turnaround.

While at the surface level Home Is Where You Are might seem a bit too cheesy, but Melissa does include a high level of depth in this book including topics of miscarriage, death, drug abuse. I also felt like it was a good reprieve between a few heavier reads.

If you are a romance lover or a Hallmark movie enthusiast, this book is the perfect book for you – go follow @heymelissagrace and read this book!
