I need time to process this book in order to review it appropriately! BRB!

UPDATE:

Where do I begin? This was not as uncomfortable as I thought it would be, but at the same time, it was. This is how you will feel for most of the book — a lot of questioning and contradicting yourself.

The main theme of this book was finding your found family … and then fucking that family. It just so happens that Tiernan is not blood related to her step uncle, Jake or his sons, Noah and Kaleb, but that doesn’t stop the Noah and Kaleb from crossing swords ⚔️

IF you forget about the familial aspects, it’s a story about how parents can truly mess up a child and all the aftermath of said parents. IF you forget about the familial aspects, it can be a sweet story about how to build up your life again from nothing. These are big IFs.

Were there times where it got really hot and sexy? Yes.

Were there times where I cringed hard and didn’t know if I could continue? Yes.

Will I recommend it? Not unless I really know you and your taste + boundaries.

Please, please, please read the trigger warnings. This book is not for everyone. Either you’ll love it or you’ll hate it and I somehow found the in-between. That’s my take.
