King Me by Lucy Lennox
5.0
Each time I read a book in this series, I think Lucy has outdone herself and then the next one comes along and it's just as good but in a totally different way.
This is a heist romance along the lines of Ocean's Eleven/Twelve where the agent and the thief have a history which complicates matters and brings a delicious tension to the narrative.
It's funny, fast paced and packed with wonderful historical nods and a love for art history which I totally appreciated.
Kingston being an art thief instead of the CIA/FBI agent hinted at during the Epilogue of the glorious book six (Grandpa and Doc's romance, which remains my overall favourite) was genius.
The rest of the book's plot won't be spoiled by me, suffice it to say, every bit of it just worked for me personally.
I loved King and I adored Falcon and their enemies to frenemies to lovers romance was perfect.
