This book took me a while to get through. It is interesting, but where there are definite themes in the play and movie, the theme here is harder to grasp for me, personally. The Witch essentially thinks she is morally higher than others, however is afraid to care for anyone, which brings into question her overall empathy.
The play & movie cannot even be compared to the book as I feel they are telling 2 completely different stories.
