surprisingly reflective, informative, and raw. i initially i was doubtful of how meaningful this could be because the writing felt weak and repetitive but it evolved to actually be quite vulnerable and dark. it’s rare to hear about the dark experiences of those in industry. they are human just like us but we only have the public perception of them so it’s really easy to judge and make assumptions. i just knew Beer as someone who was uniquely pretty and popular online, and see her differently now. it is pretty scary to be exposed to such unhealthy things at a young age and having to unlearn those as an adult.
