The second book in the series is as good if not better than the first.  The mystery is interesting and the character development was well done.  The mystery was solved satisfactorily.  Something from Sloan's past was introduced and is intriguing.  I can't wait for the next book in the series.  I highly recommend but would recommend starting with the first book.
