This book was really frustrating to read. I was expecting her to grow to be a strong independent woman and succeeding at something. Yet she kept finding excuses for her abusive & neglecting family, kept visiting them and making attempts to see them. You've been abused since childhood and even after obtaining your uni degrees you still go back there? I wish she took a solid action against her brother involving authorities. Sorry but I don't see anything educated here. There isn't a single character in this book that I liked. She had many chances and opportunities that anyone else in her position in other countries would not have and what a disappointing way of using them. All of the family members she made peace with in the end were completely aware of what was going on in all of those years.
