I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought the chemistry between Lincoln and Jace was completely off the charts. They were best friends since childhood but they got to see each other during the Summer when both their families went to stay at cabins by a lake in Wisconsin. They eventually became lovers and promised each other forever. Jace had told Lincoln that he was going to go on tour with him but Lincoln couldn’t allow him to give up his dream for him so he left without even a goodbye. It’s been 10 years since he left Jace. Lincoln is completely messed up, he self harms and has had a couple of s*icide attempts. Lincoln ends up in hospital after falling asleep on his balcony in freezing temperature so when the band’s manager Archer mentioned a vacation he tells him to buy the cabin that he went to every Summer in Wisconsin as that’s where he wants to go. The rest of Downward Spiral need the vacation time to sort their sh*t out as well, as they’re all struggling in their own way. Jace’s fiancé Amanda left him because he couldn’t love her like she deserves as even though he wont admit it he still loves Lincoln. Jace decides to go to his families cabin in Wisconsin. He never expected Lincoln, the guy who broke his heart to be staying in the cabin next door. Will Jace be able to let go of his anger enough and let Lincoln a chance to explain why he left, will this be their second chance at love and will Lincoln be able to slay his demons whatever the outcome with Jace maybe? I’m looking forward to reading Lando and Dawson’s story next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
