I originally read this book as research for the play "Enchanted April" in which I played Lady Caroline. The play and the movie are very similar to the book and yet the book remains my favorite, naturally, for it's imagery and detail that only a novel can really give. A light and lovely lemon curd of a tale. Recommended on a rainy March morning whilst sipping English Breakfast Tea.
