172 Hours on the Moon
by Johan Harstad
Yes, it's stupid and makes no sense, but what bothers me with this book is the characters and how there's absolutely no development or even characterization to begin with. Why should I care about these people? About their story? About the life they're risking? The author offers nothing in that regard.
I also hate how stupid it is and how nothing makes any sense. Everything felt rushed yet they managed to drag this thing on for 350 pages whilst still offering... nothing?
Who proofread this? I found my copy, which turned out to be a proof copy, at a second hand store. I don't think they opened it once and it's a shame because it needs a lot of work.
One star because it did give that unreasonable-but-still-slightly-chilling-if-you-pretend-it-happened-to-you effect that a bad horror story read in the dark can have. I'm not proud of it but at least I'm honest to myself and am in fact writing this review to reset my brain and procrastinating getting to sleep.
Will be donating this back to the second hand store asap.
