Winter of the Wolf by Martha Hunt Handler
emotional
mysterious
sad
slow-paced
2.5
No strong representations of diverse characters or minority identities.
Single Sentence Review: A story of 15-year-old Bean as she tries to reconcile the apparent suicide of her brother and the spiritual journey she goes on as she attempts to piece together her brother’s last day, however, the unrealistic character behaviour and lack of Inuit characters severely detracted from the enjoyability of the novel.
