Opal
by Maggie Stiefvater
✨4 stars✨
I love Ronan, and I love Adam, and I love Ronan and Adam together so honestly this could have been about absolutely anything to do with them and I still would have adored it. The little peeks into them trying to work out life and being generally cute as hell were exactly what I needed, I’m totally here for beautifully written Pynch moments and this lil short story has so many.
‘Ronan paused to kick off his own shoes and stuff his socks in them. Leaving them by the side of the track, he continued alongside Adam with matching bare feet.’ I love them so much ugh.
Opal’s perspective was really unique and her analysis of whether most things would be good to eat or not was so cute. My only problem with this story is that now I want more because I could read about Adam, Ronan and Opal all day!😂
