Inciting Joy: Essays by Ross Gay

challenging emotional funny hopeful informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

This book was absolutely lovely. I don't think I've ever felt such a wide range of visceral emotions while reading a book, and its length (or lack thereof) makes that all the more astonishing to me. Honestly, the only complaint I have about this book is that Gay writes way too similarly to me; that is, he writes such long sentences that I don't even remember what happened at the beginning of them lol. If you don't have trouble reading writing like that (or even if you do, because it's beautiful and worth working through), I can't recommend it enough!!
