I will never forget how this all started. This book gave me an entrance to a universe completely different from the real one. It opened up my imagination to an entirely new kind of magic . It was similar to my world, yet just different enough to feel believable.
The world building was so well thought, that it remained consistent throughout all seven books in the series. The introduction of characters like Hagrid, McGonagall, Dumbledore, and so many others was done so seamlessly that they felt real from the start.
Since this was the first book and aimed at a younger audience, the balance between humour and tension was spot on. Even reading it as an adult, I find myself pulled right back into the magical world.
