24 Hours in Ancient Rome: A Day in the Life of the People Who Lived There by Philip Matyszak
4.0
This was so interesting. It's my first nonfiction book that I read in years and it was the perfect transition to that genre. You follow short stories of 24 characters so it doesn't feel like you're reading some boring history book; instead, it feels like a story which makes it really fun to read.
I love how the author drops little "easter eggs" regarding the etymology of some of our modern words (it reminded me of how Stephen Fry does it in "Mythos").
