The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
3.0

Ultimately it was an easy, interesting listen. Jeremy Irons reading it easily boosted it an entire star. While a lot of people didn’t really dig what this book is doing, I didn’t really have a problem with it being a self-help book disguised as a story. There were a handful of life tips and aspects to pay attention to, even though the ending took a really wacky turn. I went with it but yeesh , it’s like there was no easy way to round everything up for the ending.

And if you’re looking at it as a self-help book, it’s hard to really take it all in as the things it’s trying to teach you are not really real world worthy. Like maybe years and years ago, but today, these lessons are hard to try and follow.

I would recommend this to a kid eager to read and learn more about life and lessons and who will look at glasses half full.
