After finishing the first two books in the series, Ezryn was one of the princes I liked the most, and I couldn’t wait to learn more about him in this book.
Boy has A LOT of trauma, and it did not get easier for him in this book, let me tell you. I love the depth of Ezryn as a character. The development he goes through in this book is major, where he has to process and come to terms with what happened with his mother and his relationship with his brother and father.
This is once again a very long book, and my problem with the previous book was the periods where the plot was slow and nothing was happening. I felt like the action was spaced out nicely with this book, so I didn’t really lose interest in what was happening.
I still think Rosalina is the weakest character out of everyone. The princes are more developed and have depth to them. I did enjoy the revelations with Rosalina. I thought maybe it would be pushed to the end of the series, but now I’m looking forward to seeing what happens, especially now we know where a certain character is.
I enjoyed seeing more of Caspian and learning more about him, especially the relationship he has with his mother and sister. We still don’t really know what he plans to do, and I love the unpredictability of him. The end of the book gave a bombshell piece of information, and I can’t wait to learn more.
