This was really good! 

I found Elias and Laia both really compelling and super interesting characters. The stakes for both of them were very real and incredibly entertaining! I also loved the politics of this world- everything felt very masterful and intentional. The power structure in the resistance was particularly enthralling, and I think that Tahir thought most of her decisions through very well! 

I am really excited to read the next one!
