I wasn't expecting this to have as much heart as it did, but it definitely has heart and pulled at my heartstrings. I really enjoyed the complicated father/son dynamics portrayed in here and with these characters. And Jake and Tom (and Pete) will probably stick in my head for a bit.

I also really liked the supernatural aspects. They were spooky but also multifaceted.

Thriller aspect kept me on the edge of my seat too. So this is definitely a thriller with some substance behind it.
