I read a few reviews that complained about the volume of metaphors, so I was prepared to wade through and battle with a new labored metaphor every chapter or so. Guys, it's not that bad. There are a handful of metaphors that are used throughout the book, but I really didn't feel like they were distracting. Though I do think the conversational "gal pal" writing style might be grating at times for some people, I would maybe fault the publisher or literary agents for that, not just the author. They're trying to reach a broad audience, and therefore come off a bit juvenile or patronizing sometimes. But there is a lot of good information and concepts in this book, for people who are interested in the subject.
