This is my first April Henry book, and I was really impressed. I love teen fiction anyway, but teen horror is great! This book reminded me of a teen version of the Shining. Two teen school groups along with their teacher, a stranded driver, and a trucker get stranded after a sudden blizzard. The only option is the hotel down the road. All of them get checked into this unusual hotel and make the best of the situation. That is until they lose power. Then things get dark in more ways than one. Someone is hunting down the guests, and everyone is wondering who is the killer. Is it one of the teens, the stranded trucker, the mysterious hotel manager, or the ex-felon handyman? It was a quick read and worth the time.
