Keats's Odes: A Lover's Discourse by Anahid Nersessian
5.0

what a lovely way to start spring! so delightful so lush

this collection is meditation on Keats’s odes and filled with generous expansive and so incisive (sharply to the point of touching the bone) essays on his work and it’s utopian undercurrents

i want to know this collection intimately and recite it from memory. i was blown away, touched, and felt seen but also altered by Nersessian’s analysis on love in the odes, the different ways of knowing and feeling she explores, and the affective politics underpinning her work.

will write a proper review of after my second reread
