This book moved really slow for me. It took a long time to get into. Once I did get into it I really liked Duncan and Amira together.
This book is heavy on realistic issues people are facing. I thought Heron did a good job tackling racism, but felt the ending was rather abrupt.
Overall a good book and definitely a diverse, Own Voices book which is exactly why I picked it up.
