2.5 stars. I expected more horror because it was featured in 101 Horror Books to Read Before You’re Murdered.
This book was more suspenseful and mysterious and at times felt almost like “chick lit.” I loved the idea of a scary story about yetis, but struggled some with the expectations I came into the book with. It wasn’t scary and I wasn’t ever really worried about the main character or the situation she was in. Felt like it resolved a little quickly, but I found it really creative. But more like…. Magical realism or urban fantasy than horror.
