Saint Paul: The Foundation of Universalism
by Alain Badiou
when i was in the eigth grade i had to memorize all of romans 8, and i got an in n out gift card because i memorized it first. i dont really remember what i thought of romans back then, but i definetely did not interpret "the mind governed by the flesh is death" as some attempt at a fundamental reconstruction of the divisions between culture and religion and ethnicity.
