I love these bright and happy Archie reboot comics, and I take a great deal of not-so-guilty pleasure from Riverdale's soapy shenanigans, but I don't need dark drama of the Riverdale variety in the comics universe, especially if it's of the painfully cliche

However, Waid's work is brilliantly and playfully structured, as always.

MEANWHILE...

Comics!Jughead appears to be getting more broodingly dreamy and Cole Sprouse-esque with every issue and it CRACKS ME UP.
