The Book of Cold Cases
by Simone St. James
There are a few things about this book that I enjoyed, 1 the writing, and 2 well maybe let’s just talk about the things I didn’t like. I feel like the plot was chaotic in a bad way, it was a mystery murder book, with ghosts and a black sheep half sister. It was just too much for the sorry to be convincing. I did like the storyline for the most part but I believe it’s mainly the authors writing style that kept me engaged. Otherwise the characters were plain, even Beth who was suppose to be something ‘special’ she just felt flat in that department to me. I would be interested in reading more from the author but I wouldn’t read this book again, nor recommend to many.
