Oof. I might be too picky but there were a lot of little things that took me out of this book. I hate when authors write about places they’ve never been or don’t know about. There are no brownstones in Seattle. Snow in Seattle is very rare and it shuts the entire city down. If they were on the east coast, teens would be calling everyone by mr or Mrs with their last name. The informality wouldn’t fly.
My biggest criticism lies with the pregnancy scary of the teen daughter. There was no discussion of her options. Just that she would be a teen mother. I hate that for her. She was terrified and needed to know she had options.
