Threads of Empire: A History of the World in Twelve Carpets by Dorothy Armstrong

informative reflective medium-paced

4.25

This was deeply interesting, and the audiobook had a great reader. I'm trying to get my hands on a physical copy to see if there are photos or images included, because I'm curious to see how my imagination may match up to the reality of the rugs. I learned SO MUCH about history and politics as well as art and weaving. Though I'm also completely new to the topic, so that might be why. Anyway, a great read that raises all sorts of questions and invites reflection into art and commerce.
