Endless Night by Agatha Christie
3.0

Read this twenty years ago the first time and thought it was only an OK read. The plot was extremely eerie and disturbing upon finished reading the book.

Since "Endless Night" was one of Christie's own favorites, twenty years later I decided to give it another try. Sentiments remained unchanged. A psychological suspense novel, something distinctively different from other Christie's popular works. No sleuth works, nil puzzle-solving. Besides, none of the characters were likable. Although a nice, easy and satisfying read yet the story was not my cup of tea. Too gothic, too disturbing... And the first 70% of the book was read more like a soapy romance work.
