I really liked the concept of this book and still think this series would lend itself well to film. I love the retro style cover art and actually enjoyed the time-jump layout.
That said, there were a few plot holes that didn't get resolved (why would Tyler stop looking for the ring after he lured King to Vegas to get it, how did King know who Alex was at the airport in Ramada? ) and at times the dialogue leaned towards trite. In particular, I found the dialogue describing love (especially towards the end of the book) cloying.
Regardless, I adore Alex's wit and humor. My favorite parts of the novel were when Alex, Zoe, Sawyer, and King were all together.
