I really liked the concept of this book and still think this series would lend itself well to film. I love the retro style cover art and actually enjoyed the time-jump layout.

That said, there were a few plot holes that didn't get resolved (
why would Tyler stop looking for the ring after he lured King to Vegas to get it, how did King know who Alex was at the airport in Ramada?
) and at times the dialogue leaned towards trite. In particular, I found the dialogue describing love (especially towards the end of the book) cloying.

Regardless, I adore Alex's wit and humor. My favorite parts of the novel were when Alex, Zoe, Sawyer, and King were all together.
