The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

4.0

I heard so much negativity about it when it first came out that I was afraid to dive in and hate it, because I love this world so much. I’m so glad I finally did it though!

It’s GOOD.

I really enjoyed this peek into the history of the games and into Coriolanus Snow.
Collins does a great job of showing the subtle differences between someone who is good natured and someone who is willing to do terrible things for their own gain. As well as how easy it is to push someone like that too far.
I loved the supporting characters most, which I think is exactly as it should be in a story like this.

Overall, a well done addition to the Hunger Games history and the world of Panem.
