Throughout the Narnia series, there are books that are really fun and others that are mid. The previous three books were really fun to read, but this one fell flat. It wasn't that great of an end to the Narnia series. I think for me, the books had to focus on either the siblings or Eustace for me to care about it. Though, they did have all the Adams and Eves come back, which I really liked, it wasn't a lot of the book. The plot was mostly the other creatures being tricked by the ape and Calormene invaders trying to control them through a fake Aslan. It wasn't super action-packed and I didn't feel like there was any big fight, which you would expect. The ending of the book shows us that they never lived in the true Narnia and now they can now because they have defeated the enemy. Overall, it was okay, but wasn't a good ending in my opinion for the series.
