I love Jen Turano's writing. She knows I'm a crazed fan of hers. hahahaha
Beatrix is traveling by train when she meets Norman during a robbery. Could any 2 people be different? lol This is basically an 1800s version of The Big Bang Theory. Penny is Beatrix and Norman is a cross between Leonard & Shelton.Norman's bff, Theodosia would be Amy.
As usual, I think I laughed my way through nearly the entire book.
Where Beatrix is practical when she gets into situations that are beyond her control (high 5), Norman has to calculate everything. Doesn't help that he's been sheltered his entire life by his mom & family. Of course that lends to him having zero social skills.
It's fun to watch Norman and Theo try to learn social skills through ladies magazines. Even in those days they weren't entirely helpful to real life situations. hahahaha I also enjoyed the character of Aunt Gladys. She's fun and tries to guide Beatrix to see outside herself.
Hands down a fantastic read!
