I wanted to give it a 2.5 really. I skimmed through many many pages. Since the second part was the actual family chronicle, I think the first part should have just been included there, with the doctor and Rita Mae telling their versions, and just leaving the Michael story. I don't know... I now need some chick lit so I can forget the incest scenes and the last scene with the baby and the spirit.
