3 1/2, rounding up. (Seriously goodreads, let's think about half stars.) I was surprised at how compelling this was, and by how fast it moved for me. One of my favorite readers called it boring but I thought it had a very strong story. I thought the dialogue could be a little stilted, and the characters didn't have strong identities, but I loved the plot and I found it very hard to put down. Overall, I very much enjoyed it and think it would be a good book club pick.
