A phenomenal story about women, and the strength they had to carry during World War II.
There is a lot to process from this novel. Grief, war, genocide, family bonds that can’t be broken, maybe actually, strengthened, by war.
There is a lot of strength and there are some very emotional and very very sad pieces to this story. But I feel the author is correct in offering a fictional story based on REAL women who deserve to be known and honored.
